The story of the assassin
Ever since Gabriel had been a young boy, he always had a knack for getting into fights. Fighting was in his blood, literally, though he wouldn't learn that until he discovered exactly what he was. From the moment he was found on the doorstep of the Chapel of London he had been told he was a "child sent to them by God" and that he was a normal yet precious human boy. As he grew older certain things began to happen to him and his body, at first being signs of an early puberty. His body began to change, albeit way more rapidly than others, and his hair went from its usual blackened hue to a snowy white. Normal. He grew quite sick of that word, at least until he started emitting electricity from his being. From God-send to devil spawn in a matter of a day. Taking this as his sign to leave, the ten year old boy dropped everything he held dear and left the so-called safety of the Chapel to journey into the world by himself.
Luckily for him, he was also very intelligent, so much so that by the age of twelve he already had a place of his own and a self-given job or random assignments. The innocent mercenary, people came to call him. After he left London, Gabriel had settled in a small forested community in the middle of nowhere. This being the perfect place for him to hone the very powers that had branded him an outcast among his friends and adopted family. By the age of eighteen, he had mastered the lightning affinity to an immense degree, as well as the crystal generation he developed three years prior. Not long after this, he met another lightning user by the name of Neron Zemrie, who tried to tell Gabe exactly what he was. Gabe wouldn't listen to him, and instead attacked him with the skills he had mastered. He lost. Badly. Instead of killing him for his impudence, Neron took the young-ling under his wing and taught him more about his lightning, as well as other forms of combat. The older gentleman also explained to him quite a bit about his own bloodline, answering any and all questions the boy had. Such as why he wasn't aging anymore, why he had powers in the first place, so on and so forth.
That had been such a long time ago, but the memories were forever etched into his mind. Looking down at the sheathed katana that had been given to him by his master, the male now known as Gabriel Zemrie began to think fondly on those memories while his finger ran along the thin wire that held the weapon to his frame. After a few moments of reminiscing about the past, Gabe shifted the blade to its rightful position on his back and began to walk forward once more. After all the training that he had received, the male had resumed his work as a mercenary, though his clients gave him more dangerous work. Much like the assassination he was to perform soon enough.
From first appearance, he would look like a young priest, this being his way to get back at the assholes that basically threw him out. He was known by a few titles: The Prodigy, The Paladin, and The Masquerade. His young age when he mastered his abilities, the fact that he still follows the code of God and wields the holy element of lightning, and the fact that he can change his appearance to become someone else; these were the respective reasons behind them.
